Did you know that time moves in circles or loops? It’s true, just look at the analog clock. There’s a smaller circle that points to the hours, which divide the circle into 30 degree chunks. Then there’s the larger circle that points to the minutes, which divide the circle into 6 degree chunks. Once the minute hand makes a full revolution, it means the hour hand has moved 30 degrees to the next hour. In the time it takes for the minute hand to make 12 full revolutions, the hour hand has finished its full 360 degree revolution, going back to where it started 12 hours prior.

And this is normalized for us. We are used to seeing time represented with analog clocks and circles.

And what about the sun? It rises in the east and sets in the west – that’s from our perspective at a fixed point on the surface of the earth. If we fixed our perspective on the sun, then we’d see the earth make a full revolution about its axis every 24 hours. And we’d also see a full revolution around the sun over the course of 365 ¼ days. We’d also see the moon rotate around the earth every 27 days or so. These time loops, time cycles, time circles, and time wheels are well-known to us. These are things we can observe with a great deal of accuracy, and it gives us comfort to know that the sun will rise tomorrow morning at the predicted time. God shows us His faithfulness in His creation, and it brings Him glory.

So we see in the created order of things that God Himself set up, that circles represent time.

He even said very plainly, that these Heavenly bodies (aka – earth, moon, sun, stars) are to indicate times and seasons.

“And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.” Genesis 1:14-15 (ESV)

We’ve been learning that there’s a vast spiritual ecosystem around us. 

The Lord has been opening up our eyes to spiritual things. And time and time loops are definitely one of these topics that the Lord has been revealing spiritual meaning to us.

But let us remember the verse about investigating spiritual things:

Things of the Spirit are Spiritually Discerned

Remember one of the core verses of this entire series of Mysteries of the Bible applies to this topic of the time loops:

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 (ESV)

Remember, spiritual things are discerned through the Spirit. The word ‘discerned’ means a ‘forensic investigation,’ so we are to thoroughly investigate spiritual things by the power of the Holy Spirit within the guardrails of Jesus Christ, who is the Living Word.

Before I pray again, let’s read one of the most famous passages on time in the Bible, found in Ecclesiastes:

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (ESV)

Prayer

Lord God, we thank You for establishing times and seasons in Your good pleasure, and for declaring these things as GOOD! Thank You for Your faithfulness. Your Word declares that Your mercies are new every morning. With every revolution of the earth on its axis, we get fresh revelation of Your Infinite Mercy.

Lord, we declare our time and our times are in Your hands. The Heavenly and Godly time loops that You set up for our blessing and Your glory – may these cycle over us, providing us with all that You have meant for us.

Also Father God, we declare a breaking down, dissolving and malfunctioning of the evil time loops that are in operation over our lives and over the lives of the people we love. May we experience Your Yeshua, Your Salvation, over our lives, and may we continually and gratefully draw near to Your throne of grace with confidence, receiving all the mercy and grace for the times we are in need.
